1. I am new to The Little Food Company and want to start ordering, how do I open an account?
It’s really easy to set up a new account with The Little Food Company, just give us a call and let us know your requirements and we will notify one of our sales representatives who will contact you, normally the same day.
2. How do I place an order?
You can place your order direct with one of our office telesales members by calling us between the hours of 9am – 4.30pm alternatively you can leave your order on our 24 hour answering service which is also available on 01691 668004.
3. What is the minimum order value?
We have no minimum order although any order value below £25+VAT will incur a £2.95+VAT delivery charge.
4. What days will you deliver to my address?
When setting up your new account one of our sales representatives will discuss with you a delivery date that is most convenient. We normally offer a two day delivery service each week however, if you require a next day delivery, and a route is planned in your local area, we will make every effort to deliver to you.
5. What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash on delivery, credit card payments over the phone however, we also offer company credit, subject to a successful application. If you would like to apply for credit please contact your sales representative.
6. Where do you get your products from?
We source our products from a varied assortment of quality branded suppliers and carry a large range of locally produced products from local businesses and farmers. We aim to bring you the very best of British ingredients and all of our fresh meat is sourced locally and 100% traceable. We also support endorsement initiatives like Red Tractor Meats and can provide passports for all of our meats upon request.
7. How can we be assured of the quality of your products?
The Little Food Company holds the STS accreditation which is the foodservice equivalent of the BRC global standard for food. It meets the requirements of the food hygiene regulations 2006. We also operate a comprehensive HACCP system and purchase from BRC approved suppliers.
8. What hours of the day can you deliver?
Although we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time we usually aim to deliver to you within a morning or early afternoon slot which we will discuss with you when you open an account with us.
